Weihenstephaner

It is a wheat beer, golden yellow in color, with a fine white foam, with notes of cinnamon and banana. Weihenstephaner has 5.4% alcohol. In 1040, beer production officially began in Weihenstephan. Weihenstephaner is produced according to centuries-old tradition, on the Weihenstephan Hill. In that year, Abbot Arnold managed to obtain a license from the city of Freising to produce and sell beer. That moment marked the birth of the Weihenstephan monastery brewery. Weihenstephaner is a refreshing, light beer that can accompany various dishes, such as a salad with goat cheese and herbs, smoked salmon, shrimp with avocado, bruschetta with ricotta and olives or even a salad with summer fruits.
