Kastel Rouge

Kasteel Rouge is essentially a “blend” of two quality craft beers, Kasteel Donker and a cherry liqueur.

The beer was launched in 2008 and is the “fruitiest” offering in the Kasteel beer range. Because this beer is brewed differently from typical Belgian fruit beers, the Van Honsebrouck brewery prefers to call this beer “fruity” rather than a fruit beer. Unlike most fruit beers, which includes Van Honsebrouck’s St. Louis range, this beer is not made by adding cherries or other fruits to the base geuze beer. The brewery’s CEO, Xavier Van Honsebrouck, says that this process offers a completely different taste experience. One thing is for sure, Kasteel Rouge guarantees a taste explosion.
